RAM за iMac от предното поколение?

Имам 2 слота рам PC2-6400 DDR2 по 2 гига
може ли да се сложи още RAM?

Според everymac можеш да му сложиш до 6GB RAM (2+4).

казаха ми че от тази памет нямало 4ки
а ако има не би трябвало да е проблем да са 2 4ки и да стане 8

Напротив. Проблем е. От сравнително скоро има Макинтоши различни от MacPro, които да поддържат 8GB памет и те не използват DDR2, ами DDR3. Шест гиги е максимумът, който можеш да постигнеш.

Който ти е казал, че такава памет нямало, може и да не е толкова запознат. Принципно има, но вероятно е трудна и скъпа за намиране.

Ако програмите, които ползваш "захапват" повечко РАМ, решението е по-скоро да смениш сметалото, зашото 2 ГБ отгоре може и да се окажат "относително" решаващи, но едновременно с това идва и въпроса "доколко" и за колко пари.
При всяко положение допълнителната РАМ ще ти струва по-малко отоклкото да продадеш айМак-а и да купуваш друг само заради повечето слотове.

Но пък може и да си заслужва заради новите бързи процесорчета. Още повече, че вече не са от мобилните серии. (Така пишат запознати)

Като изключим оплакванията от дисплеите на новите айМаци, всичко останало си им е натамън и имат доста чевръсти модели, дори такива с 2 диска вътре - един обикновен и един ССД.
Само ти можеш да си прецениш положението "дали – или".
След като излязоха новите Макбук про-та, силно вярвам, че айМаците ще се окажат много силна конкуренция на Про-тата, като изключим лъщящия им монитор... А може и да се усетят и пак да върнат матовите.
